The comfortable handle is made of a rigid injection molded high-impact polycabonate frame with a soft, comfortable diamond patterned injection molded Kraton® grip for a firm, safe hold. This build, combined with the rounded handle cross section, deep finger choil with guard, pronounced butt pommel and blade thumb ramp with friction grooves, results in one of the most secure and comfortable grips available.
This is a truly ambidextrous knife. Dual thumb studs allow fast either-hand opening. The lockback mechanism on the spine is positioned at a point where it is difficult to accidentally release. To make closing safer, and to allow one-handed closing there is a “hitch” at the 90 degree point. When the lock bar is released with the blade up, the blade swings down 90 degrees and stops, reducing accidental cuts. You can then shift the Cascade to your palm and press the blade closed.
A custom, removable stainless steel pocket/gear clip allows secure carry in pocket, on webbing, and on tool aprons. And for those who prefer a traditional belt carry, a molded closed cell foam Cordura fabric bidirectional carry scabbard is included.
