Here’s custom knifemaker and Knifemakers’ Guild Member Kit Carson’s M18 in professional black dress. The result of precision fine blanking, CNC machining and exceptional craftsmanship, the CRKT M18 models are affordable work tools, suitable for daily professional use. Like the standard M18, our “K” models offer Kit’s signature touches such as the 180&Mac251; circular pivot with thumb stud detents, ample friction grooves for sure grip, and the “Carson Flipper” which speeds opening and acts as a blade guard. The open all-metal build uses precision CNC machined 6061 T6 aluminum handles, hard anodized in heavily textured non-reflective black. A 420J2 stainless steel locking liner is inset in one handle, and a black hard anodized 6061 T6 aluminum back spacer is used, all assembled with superior black Torx® fasteners. Castellations around the butt on the handle increase security.
The blade has special titanium nitride coating, which results in a superior and long lasting non-reflective coating. Ground to a swedged and recurved spear point shape, the premium AUS 8 stainless steel blades offer superior edge retention. Teflon® bearings at the blade pivot assure velvet smooth, quick blade action.
Comes with Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated cutting edges, and has black textured G10 scales, precision inlaid into the handle for exceptional grip.
This Knife is a mistake. The knife is marked M18-12KE which is supposed to have the green inserts. The box is marked M18-12KK which is supposed to have black inserts. The Knife has the black inserts.
